Bone Broth

Bone broth is super easy to make and very nutritious!

Take the bones from a whole chicken (or turkey or beef bones), with skin and a little meat left, place in slow cooker. Fill slow cooker with water so that it covers the bones, add 1 spoonful of white or apple cider vinegar.

Allow to simmer for at least 8 hours, 24 hours if you can!

If you’d like to get fancy, add some onion, chopped carrots, celery, bay leaves, and/or other herbs if you like. But for simplicity and ease, bone + water + vinegar is all you need!

Strain out the bones and skin.

Enjoy the broth straight up OR as part of a soup or stew. Refrigerate or freeze leftovers.

This is great for staying healthy during the winter and is also wonderful for the bones & skin!
