What Is Relaxation 101?

Relaxation 101 is a 10-week experiential guided mindfulness program that you can use to help make relaxation a daily habit.

I show you relaxation techniques AND also guide you on how to implement them in your life. The point is to actually use the techniques regularly so that they become positive habits.

I also know that you are probably really busy, so I've deliberately kept the materials to-the-point and easy to use so that you can get through everything quickly.

The time that you invest in being mindful will allow you to be more focussed and productive, ultimately saving you time.

Relaxation 101 can be helpful if you:

• Have pain or tension

• Have skin issues that you feel are related to stress

I created this program because I hate to see people suffer from stress.

I want to help AS MANY people as possible live their full potential.

I'm sure you have your share of stressors.

Maybe you're a busy professional or entrepreneur keeping up with the demands of your work and life.
Perhaps you're a new (or experienced) mother dealing with new challenges each time your child goes through a new phase.
Sometimes one of the most stressful things in life can be the loss of a loved one. Even though there can be the silver lining and beauty within any situation, life can seem hard.
Many physical symptoms are stress symptoms, since your outer state is a reflection of your inner state.

My wish for you...

Is to help you move from struggle and stress to mindfulness and relaxation faster and with more ease
Is to help lay a foundation of relaxation techniques and exercises you can use whenever you need
Is to develop positive HABITS to start and end your day in a mindful way
Is to learn from your stress symptoms so that true healing can start to happen

I thought I'd share one of my personal experiences with stress.

When I was growing up, I suffered from severe, oozing, bleeding eczema on my face and many other parts of my body. I could not hide it, and it was a very frustrating and extremely itchy. Doctors would give me stronger medications, that only gave me temporary relief, but I knew in my gut that if didn't change my stress response my skin would only get worse. I realized that my severe, bleeding eczema was a stress symptom and I had accepted that something needed to be different. I learned so much from having my body show me that I needed to change. That moment of feeling SO bad gave me an opportunity to positively change how I was responding. This profound experience showed me with absolute clarity that physical symptoms can be connected to stress.

I accepted the symptom, learned from it and made some changes.

It's a powerful thing when you can actually use stress to your advantage. The process took me several years and I wish I had help earlier on because now with 20-20 hindsight I know that the proper support would have helped me tremendously, and heal MUCH faster. And yes, my skin did clear up beautifully. I've been through many stressful life situations. I lost my mother when I was 23, I was a new mother when I started a professional program, and I'm currently the owner of a busy naturopathic clinic just to name a few. I had to figure out ways to not only survive, but to thrive. There were definitely days when it felt like life was swirling around and I was not myself. I developed ways to start and end my days, creating a routine with positive habits to anchor me so that I could deal with unexpected challenges with clarity.

I would love to share what I've learned about coping with stress with you so that you can live your best life!

Here's how Relaxation 101 works ...

1. You will download the program materials

2. You will watch the weekly video (3 to 5 minutes) to set the intention for the week and to keep you on track.

3. The weekly assignment should take about 30 minutes (most weeks) to complete.

4. Your daily practice can take as little as 5 to 10 minutes and sets the tone for the rest of your day.

5. After 10 weeks, you will likely have built a solid mindfulness practice that will help you with life's challenges.

How much time will it take me to get through the program?

5 to 10 minutes a day and 30 to 60 minutes once a week, for 10 weeks for most people.

Will I be able to use the materials of the program if I'm not a computer whiz?

If you can download pdf's and MP3's and watch streaming videos (like YouTube), you are good to go!

Can I work through the material faster or slower than 10 weeks?

Yes, you can go at your own pace because the material will be available for 12 months. But remember it can take about 10 weeks to develop a new habit.

How much space will I need on my computer for the downloaded materials?

The downloadable pdf workbook is 2MB. All the audio and videos are all available by streaming, and require no space if you are just streaming them. If you would like to download the audio, the high quality audio will be about 82 MB and the smaller audio files (of the same tracks) are about 15 MB.

Can Dr. Nana Jokura ND's guided exercises help me sleep?

Yes, probably! Her incredibly relaxing presence and voice have been known to help some people with their sleep.
